The
Gray Building Coalition celebrated a successful fundraising effort
by cresting $1 million in 2004. The Coalition is gearing up for
the final phase of the capital campaign which will enable the restoration
of the 2nd floor, painting the exterior, landscaping and paving.
The revenue
raised to date has come from state and federal grants, private
foundations as well as contributions from local citizens and businesses.
The largest private gift so far has been $200,000. "We appreciate
the generosity of local families and businesses and applaud their
investment in future of Northfield," stated Coalition President
Annie Gould. "Private contributions, in combination with
substantial grant funding, has made the project a success,"
she continued.
